Chinese

The Chinese language is commonly seen as “difficult” to learn not only because of its script but also since it is a tonal language. The structures and lexis of Indo-Germanic languages are hence not immediately helpful for learning Chinese. However, this is what is especially appealing about this unique language.

Its grammar is surprisingly easy and it suffices to know a manageable sum of letters in order to read a magazine.
